What We Do
G Fitzsimmons and son LTD is a family run steel fabrication company working out of Midlothian Scotland and servicing the central belt of Scotland and beyond, we have a highly skilled workforce able to take on a variety of commercial and domestic structural steel and metalwork projects. Our work is mainly focused on structural steelwork, architectural metalwork items, including steel frames, secondary steelwork, feature and access staircase’s, fencing, balustrades, railings, gates, stainless steel and glass.
History
Grant Fitzsimmons started the company on his own in 1989 fabricating and supplying fencing, gates, railings and metalwork items. As the years went on the company grew taking on more staff and building a reputation for reliability and quality work. As the business grew so did the work we were able to take on, moving into structural steel market and moving premises multiple times until we found our home in Rosewell Midlothian which we moved to in 1997. In 2001 Stuart Fitzsimmons joined the company after leaving university studying structural engineering, enhancing the company helping it grow even more. Since then we have built a new workshop with offices, stores and welfare facilities for our staff. Enabling us to invest in more machinery to service our needs in the market.
